Roman memories!

Hi gents,
Around two or three years ago I had a flashback to when I was a kid, I had just joined the local library junior section and in this section was the book below  by Peter Connolly.
The book had me at first glance the colour plates were very inspirational and the Romans were like none I had seen before.
I was sitting in my office when this memory came to me and for the life of me I couldn't remember the name of the book( I was only nine or ten at the time).
So with the wonder that is google I typed in roman books 1970s and low and behold there it was,I sent off for the book and it now sits in my own library one of the reasons for the Punic collection below.

Now the room change I can get a lot more of the collection out.

Gauls

I have the Gauls as a stand alone army or as part of the Carthaginian axis.

Still some more Romans to come and then I think I will add a phalanx.

I had seen an old pic of Seleucid's outside city walls a number of
years ago the figures were painted by Bill Brewer inspirational for this shot.

The figures in these shots are by James Roach and the war office.
I read an article by Jim Webster years ago you may remember it called " Have pike can travel" great piece in this Jim shows how versatile some figures can be Gauls/pike etc to form lots of different army's Carthage/Succsessor amongst others.I plan to do something along those lines here.
