Honourable Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu, makes the celebration of Eid al-fitr a Colourful one for the People of Epe Constituency II despite the Pandemic Crisis.

Ramadan as we all know, is a long month period, when Muslims fast, or go without food and drinks, during daylight. The holy month of Ramadan is a month when the gates of heavens are opened, and the gates of hell are closed, and when the devil is chained. Ramadan is one of the beautiful pillars of Islam. A month which comes to change the heart of men.

 At the end of every Ramadan, comes the Eid al-Fitr celebration. Eid al-Fitr, which means the "Festival of the Breaking of the Fast". This marks the end of Ramadan. The celebration of Eid al-Fitr also signals the first day in the month of Shawwal. 

So unfortunate, this year's Eid al-Fitr set in at a period when the World is on it's feet, it came during a period in the history of the earth, when the universe is fighting and struggling against a pandemic virus, no other than the deadly Corona virus. As usual, whenever Eid al-Fitr is approaching, there seem to be a joyous atmosphere everywhere in the world, every corner of the universe usually have a sense of elevated excitement.

 A celebration whereby brothers and sisters in Al-Islam come together in a joyous atmosphere to celebrate the end of fasting. 

But due to the effects of Covid 19 pandemic on humanity, today it's a case of staying safe and staying healthy. 

Its no news again, that during the course of tackling the pandemic in the country, many people have either lost their jobs, seen their monthly salaries cut to a significant figure or even witnessed a massive fall in their various businesses. This in return have definitely and undoubtedly affected many families across the nation. But at a time like this, the most important thing is to stay positive. Life is a long lesson in humility.

At a period like this, there are always generous and helping hands, whose calling is to ease and atomize the burden of citizens in the nation. Of all helping and generous figures in the society, Honourable Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu, representing Epe State Constituency 2 in the 9th legislative assembly, the lawmaker also the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversea and Investment, embarked on a mission to help ease the burden of Muslim fellows during the Eid al-Fitr, after Ramadan celebration.

Few weeks ago, the highly esteemed Honourable, donated and also distributed food items worth millions, to all the wards in his Constituency. Again, He and his initiative is using this medium to inform every indigens of Epe State Constituency 2, that food items, such as rice, and also chickens will be distributed to the public on Salah day, at the head office of the Constituency
